Topic: Diversity, Inclusion and the Shift to Cultural Awareness in the Workplace: How emotions can influence motivation and behaviour & what Managers can do with it.
We all know that the Canadian workforce is changing. Stats Canada estimates that by 2031, net population growth will all be due to immigration. Understanding Diversity and facilitating an inclusive work environment is more than merely working within the business case.
So, what can we do about it? And where are we, as HR Professionals starting from? In this session, you will be able to complete a self-assessment to help you understand your own perspectives on diversity and discuss strategies and tactics for creating a more inclusive and aware workplace.
Guest Presenter: Zafira Nanji is a Human Resources Business Partner with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC/Radio-Canada), assigned as the Project Lead CBC’s 5 year Strategic Plan “Everyone, Every way”.
