December 5, 1997

You said you loved me,

You began to cry.

When I stopped you,

You looked into my eyes.

“The risk is worth it

Because I love you,” you said

Tears rolling from your eyes,

I ran a finger accross your lips

And brushed the tears from your face.

Secure in your embrace,

We stood alone, in the November rain

My eyes, searching yours

for answers – no strings, no pain.

My knees weak. My heart racing with yours.

Holding each other deserpately.

As I stand lost in the strength of your arms

I wonder if you mean

The words you’ve just said.
