The world stops when their eyes meet

No one can come between them

Gazing into each others eyes,

Holding hands.

He takes hers and

Gently places it over his heart

Their eyes are motionless.


Her fingers settle lightly on his cheek,

Her body is drawn closer to him.

Looking at them,

It seems as though they are

Making love.

But really

they are barely touching.

he begins to nod,

And she shakes her head.

They don’t speak.

On the outside,

We wonder what they are thinking

What is it

That keeps them both
