Inner Child
She cries
Despair overcomes her.
She yells
Frustration envelopes her.
She laughs
Hysteria conquers her.
She yearns
For someone to love her.
Many ask –
What’s the matter?
Even more don’t care.
Unable to answer – she too wonders
She craves the strength
To meet their prying glares.
As she wanders,
Curiosity surrounds her.
A desire to understand
Floods her very being.
As she tries to touch
The child inside her.
She asks herself –
“What’s the matter little girl?”
