About Zafira

Personal, professional, and woven with intention in care — where the threads come together.

About Zafira

I’m Zafira — a systems thinker, story-sharer, and space holder. I work at the intersections of HR, disability, and end-of-life care, supporting people through moments that matter.

Whether guiding a team through conflict or holding space for a family navigating change, I bring clarity, compassion, and calm. My work is strategic and relational, rooted in lived experience and a deep respect for people’s stories.

I started in HR as a teenager beside my dad. Since then, I’ve worked across sectors and roles — building inclusive teams, coaching through conflict, and helping leaders lead. Along the way, I trained as a doula and learned how to hold space in moments that don’t have roadmaps.

So much of who I am comes from my mother. While she left a huge hole in my heart, she lives in the sunsets and the sunrises, and in the stories of wonder my son creates about her. My family are my why. Their presence, real and ethereal, reminds me that care must be intentional, accessible, and responsive — not performative.

My Values

My father’s steady hand, always kept me up when I stumbled. He didn’t need to be the loudest voice in the room, though his laugh often was. His strength was quiet, consistent, and kind — the kind that shows up in small moments, over and over again.

With a thermos of chai, left on my patio one morning as I left for work was a note, written in his gentle script, he reminded me: “Leadership is not about being in charge — it’s about taking care of those in your charge. Have Fun!”

That’s the art I carry with me — the art of holding space, building trust, and leading with love, even when the path isn’t clear. Especially then.
