About Zari: Our Founder
Thank you for visiting. I’m Zafira Nanji Scott (she/her/hers), founder of Zari Insights. ‘Zari’ reflects the meaningful connections and transitions that shape both my life and work.
My journey in Human Resources began as a teenager, working alongside my father, whose guidance instilled in me the values of hard work, empathy, and connection. Later, my personal experience navigating my mother’s health challenges placed me in the sandwich generation, giving me firsthand insight into Eldercare Navigation and End-of-Life Doula work. These experiences deepened my understanding of the emotional and logistical complexities families face.
My lived experience allows me to support organizations and families as they navigate transitions—whether in the workplace or at home. I view each transition as an opportunity for growth and clarity, which is the foundation of Zari Insights.
My leadership and HR skills, combined with a deep commitment to empowering individuals are equally valuable when supporting families through Eldercare Navigation and End-of-Life Doula decisions.

Professional Experience
As a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), I support organizations in developing leaders and building strategies that align talent with their mission. My career has encompassed diverse roles, including career transition coach, recruiter, corporate trainer, HR Generalist, and HR Director. With experience across private, public, and non-profit sectors, I bring a well-rounded perspective on the unique challenges and opportunities each presents. I seek to collaborate with mission-driven organizations that share my values.
As an Eldercare Navigator and End-of-Life Doula (Thanadoula), I provide families with peace of mind during times of uncertainty. My personal experience navigating Eldercare and End-of-Life matters for family and friends has given me firsthand insight into these transitions. As an only child, I understand the emotional weight of these moments and have become a trusted resource for those seeking guidance. My holistic approach ensures families receive both compassionate and practical support.
These combined experiences allow me to offer a uniquely integrated approach to life’s transitions—whether in the workplace or at home. Fun Fact!
The Dalai Lama once said, “The purpose of life is to be happy.” For me, joy comes from family, giving back, and travel. Some of my fondest memories include exploring Tanzania and Zanzibar with my dad and visiting Europe with my mom. Now, I share my love of travel with my son.
